Physical Activity

Why it's Important

Everyone is motivated to move for different reasons. Physical activity or exercise can improve your health and reduce the risk of developing several diseases like type 2 diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular disease. Physical activity and exercise can have immediate and long-term health benefits. Most importantly, regular activity can improve your quality of life.

Stop thinking about physical activity as just a trip to the gym—instead get outdoors, play with your kids, try a new walk with your dog, get social with a team sport, or do you dare to try a new movement class? There are thousands of ways to get movement into your day so that you enjoy the activity and you reap in the benefits of movement.
