Meet our SFHSS staff who help support and administer your health benefits!

I’ve been with SFHSS for a little over seven months. I help our members navigate changes to their health benefits. There are many different situations that happen behind the scenes that require research and coordination.

No two situations are exactly the same, and each one gives me an opportunity to learn something new.

I’ve appreciated the moments when I’ve had the opportunity to connect with colleagues, learn from their experience, and gain a better understanding of the work we do.

I want members to know that their health benefits are a valuable resource meant to be used. Taking the time to understand what your plans offer can help you make informed decisions and get the most from your coverage.

Don’t wait until you need your benefits to learn how they work. Take the time to familiarize yourself with your coverage, and if you’re ever unsure about something, reach out and ask questions.

Being both an SFHSS employee and a member has made me much more intentional. I’ve learned that getting the most value from my health benefits isn’t just about having coverage when something is wrong, but also about taking advantage of preventive care and services that help me stay healthy.
